device not found

downloaded the latest upgrade for ipad and it can not find my device in iTunes,was working fine before i upgraded.hope somebody can help me ,thank you bought a new power cable to see if that helped no joy it still not finding the device

If you updated the device to iOS 10, did you also update your iTunes? To support iOS 10, you need the latest version of iTunes, 12.5.1, and that is only supported in Windows 7 or above, and OS X 10.9.5 or above. If you are already using iTunes 12.5.1, then look at this support document for other troubleshooting steps. If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support
